In 2014, after many years of doctors, tests, asthma/bronchitis, etc., I was, finally, diagnosed with Pulmonary Sarcoidosis , which is a rare and incurable auto-immune disease. Personally, this disease has affected my lungs and lymphatic system, creating many hardened nodules throughout my body. With breathing difficulties, fatigue, and failing health, I went looking for alternatives to the only treatment offered, which is steroids. So, it is with great pleasure that I share how wonderfully Cynthia Milligan of To The Point Healthcare has helped me with these various health issues through acupuncture, nutritional counseling, and Chinese herbals.
Cynthia’s knowledge, expertise, and methodical process of addressing my body as a whole continue to dig up and disperse issues from deep within. And, it goes way beyond the acupuncture. The treatment room is a serene space perfect for healing, relaxing, and letting go of tension. From taking pulses, tongue evaluation, massage, cupping and scraping, eating certain foods and giving others up, to adding in herbals specific to my body’s needs, I have gained incredible knowledge and am learning how to take better care of my health.
I am breathing better than I have in years. Within the last couple of months, my internal medicine doctor as well as my pulmonary doctor both remarked that my lungs sounded better and clearer than they had in a very long time. I have much more energy these days and a couple of the palpable hardened lymph nodules have decreased in size. One of the skin lesions is completely gone while the other is cracking open and peeling away little by little. I feel as if I am ridding myself of the effects of this disease from within rather than just treating whatever symptoms crop up. And, I haven’t taken steroids for several months now. I had Pulmonary Function Tests today and there is a across the board improvement on all values from last year, Whoo Hoo. Your Acupuncture work is paying off. Thanks to you I’m much improved
